Newsletter April 2011: Happy Easter!

Hello from Sunny England! Yes, it is actually sunny! Miracles certainly do happen!
We'd like to say:
1. A massive THANK YOU to so many of you who have taken the time to write, give and pray to encourage and support us!
2. Thank you for praying for Henri who has been serving in an eye clinic in Gabon the past 7 weeks. He'll come back in 3 weeks. It's not easy to be separated for so long but the image of hundreds of people seeing again is sustaining us!
3. Together with you, we have RAISED A TOTAL of over £21 000! This is roughly USD 35000 or HKD 270 000 or to us - a lot a lot of money! This includes pledges for future monthly donations. That is one fifth of our target of £100 000 in the first year! Praise God with us! Most of our target is to cover an initial one-off set-up cost of purchasing medical equipment. So we anticipate to need much less from year two onwards.
4. We are a family with 3 young children who will soon be without any form of salary. We are confident and are excited to see how God, who has called us to this work, will abundantly provide for us. Yet at the same time, we know that it will take a lot of pressure off us if we know that we have supporters who are committed to regularly give to our work. This will allow us to focus on helping our patients and their families.
